|2005||February||***||Kangaroo Island Cup Carnival|
As well as racing, the carnival atmosphere takes over the island for the three days. On Friday night, Kingscote’s main street will be closed for a street party featuring bands and food stalls, while a Golf Day is held on Sunday.
The Highlight is the KI Cup in Saturday. Marquee packages are available which include a sumptuous 4 course lunch with premium wines, local Kangaroo Island and South Australian seafood, lamb, chicken and other award winning local KI produce topped off with a perfect trackside view of the racecourse
Carnevale brings Italy to your doorstep where you can enjoy the warmth and hospitality Italians are famous for. You are invited to join the Italian community as they celebrate their culture in a fun cosmopolitan atmosphere. |2005||May||**||Clare Gourmet Weekend|
A themed dinner on Friday evening. Saturday is the day for tasting the new vintage wines and a chance to meet winemakers from all around the Valley. Sunday the big wine and food day. Best to make an early start to catch breakfast at several of the wineries, perhaps beside a glowing bonfire, a wonderful selection of foods from around the globe, as well as local cuisine, is presented all day. Complemented by the Valley's magnificent wines, available by glass or bottle, most wineries have live music ranging from jazz to light classical, adding to the atmosphere of this popular day.

With an estimated 10,000 people visiting the site over the two days, the Ceduna Oysterfest is an essential ingredient in the tourism strategy for Ceduna. Falling in early October at the peak of spring, the festival is held at an opportune time for visitors to experience the diversity, hospitality and natural beauty of South Australia's West Coast.

Pick up your Bushing Passport at any of the participating wineries or the McLaren Vale & Fleurieu Visitor Centre and receive a stamp upon visiting the wineries. Once you have completed your tour return your passport to the last winery you visit and enter in the draw to win great McLaren Vale prizes including wine, accommodation packages and restaurant vouchers.
There are more than 40 public events planned for Tasting Australia 2005: cookery demonstrations featuring the top Australian and overseas chefs, wine and beer experiences, celebrity lunches and dinners, conferences, talks and panel discussions, tastings and masterclasses.
